Other colonial cities are worth a visit: Sucre, which boasts magnificent Iberian-style mansions, and Potosí, home to numerous Baroque churches.
As for Tupiza, nestled in a deep valley with glowing red rocks, it seems to blend seamlessly into the landscape.
Lake Titicaca, which straddles the border between Bolivia and Peru, is the highest navigable lake in the world. Dotted with numerous islands, it offers a wonderful opportunity to meet different fishing communities and discover their age-old ways of life.
The Sud Lípez region, located on the edge of the Altiplano, includes the Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat and one of the most surreal landscapes!
