We will take the Santiago metro to the bus terminal where we will catch our bus to Valparaíso.
Advantage of the bus: cheaper than private transport, stress-free, but longer travel time (allow 12 hours but no worries if we go a little over).
Advantage of private transport: faster (allow a maximum of 10 hours), always available if needed, but more expensive than public transport.
The duration of your visit to Valparaíso is roughly the same regardless of the option.
